The Ruger LCP (Lightweight Compact Pistol) is a subcompact, .380 ACP pocket pistol produced by Ruger, and is available for distribution in May of 2008. The pistol is not available for sale in California or Massachusetts, as it fails to meet guidelines concerning an integrated safety.

I bought an LCP because I wanted a gun that would fit in my pocket and not be noticeable. The LCP does that very well. Like most other pocket guns, the LCP has a double-action only trigger with an extremely long and heavy pull. I find it difficult to shoot accurately because of the trigger pull. Overall quality is excellent as is reliability. It's tough to beat for the price and even though it's basically the same gun as the Kel-Tec P3AT, it appears to be of higher quality.
